Here are 3 golf tips for better iron shots including how to create backspin by correct ball placement from your practice swing divets from golf expert Jay Golden. Watch the video to here his tips.

  1. Take one more club than you think to make sure you are not short of the green and with this practice you can take an easier swing
  2. Take a divet after you hit the ball
  3. Ball position

I know I will practice these tips at the driving range this week.

Happy Golfing,

ps Don't forget the only thing connecting you to your clubs are the grips. Make sure you have good grips and if you don't, learn How to Regrip Golf Clubs.

Regrip your Clubs - It's Easy!!!

Check out how easy is to regrip your own golf clubs. I use to be hesitant to do this myself until I tried it and now I do this at least once a year, I also regrip my wife and daughters golf clubs too. Check out this instructional video to learn How to Regrip Golf Clubs. This video takes you step by step on how to regrip your golf clubs in under 4 minutes. Once you do one or 2 clubs it only takes about 20 minutes to regrip your whole set.

Golf Driving Posture Drill: Turn and Burn

If you are like me, you start to move around when you try to add power to your tee shot. My shoulders lift up and down and my hips start to turn early. Well I found this great drill to help maintain that posture on the tee shot.

Try this drill to keep your tee shot posture.

Golf Swing Impact Drills

I am always looking for new Golf Drills to improve my game, (I need all the help I can get!) I found this article with a few drills and have been working them for a few weeks. Here they are posted at Golf Club Regripping.

Watch this Divot Drill

"Remember that a correct divot occurs when you initial set upon the ball, then the territory and that a crisply hit shot results in a divot that starts after point of round impact. A true or somewhat inside to outward divot (relative to aim line) is preferred and indicates a true golf shot."

The 2 Drills:

  • Golf Full Swing Impact The Drill 1: Divot Feedback Drill
  • Golf Full Swing Impact Drill 2: Impact Bag Drill

Proper Golf Grip

At Golf Club Regripping we post golf practice tips and tricks weekly and found this “Proper grip key to hitting longer” by Author Curtis Stock to fit in with our golf articles.

"Most amateurs hold the club too much in their palms, rather than in their fingers. That's why you see so many amateurs wearing out a patch on the palm of their golf glove. If that happens to you, then you are holding the club in your palm too much. By gripping the club more with your fingers, you increase the amount of wrist hinge, which will help you hit the ball longer."

Golf Tip: Better Practice = Better Play

At Golf Club Regripping, we post many golf tips and tricks to improve your game. I found this article to be very relevant practice tips from Author Tiffany Faucette at the Ashburn Patch.

“The next time you go to practice try the following routine:

  • Warm Up
To get warmed-up, hit five to ten sand or pitching wedge shots. Then hit three 9-irons, three 7-irons, three 5-irons, three fairway woods and finish with three drivers.
  • “Play” a Hole
Once you feel warmed up, simulate the par-3s on the course.  Look at the yardage on the scorecard to imagine the hole and hit the club you would use if you were teeing-off. If you hit a good shot, imagine making birdie or par on that hole. If you believe you missed the green, hit the chip shot recovery you would on the course.
  • Alternate Clubs and Targets
Take all the clubs out of your bag and lean them against your golf bag.  Alternate between hitting a driver, then an iron and then a wedge. Keep working through your practice balls, never hitting the same club consecutively.”

Regrip Your Own Golf Clubs

Regrip Your Own Golf Clubs

How often do you get your clubs regripped? Do you wait until they are long overdue and are slipping in your hands? Well I use thttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifo do the same thing until I reluctantly on a friends suggestion tried to regrip them myself. I was very nervous that this would be a mess however I was so surprised at how easy it was and now wonder why everyone doesn’t regrip their own clubs. Its so easy I immediately ordered my wife and daughter new golf club grips that same day. Once you start this project you will wonder why you havent been doing this all along like me. I found some great instructional online video’s at clubregripping.com
